Technical Architect

Your role:

You will be a key member of the Automotive Mastermind team. Your responsibilities include:

  • Work closely as part of the Engineering core leadership team to deliver high impact in a broad area of technical areas
  • Bring expertise to the areas of architecture and design, strategy around infrastructure, technology selection, implementation methodology, and a quality driven approach to producing highly available, scalable software
  • Evaluate and prototype technologies and architecture, help train engineering team on understanding and effective usage
  • Demonstrate technical leadership through your innovation, by breaking down complex and ambiguous problems areas, evaluating and keeping abreast of emerging technologies as they apply to the aM product roadmap, and your independent drive to meticulously and elegantly solve the technical challenges that you face
  • Help guide engineering teams through successful and efficient execution of projects in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Bring focus on higher order frameworks, tools and methodologies that allow software teams to continuously improve their craft in all facets of elegance, quality, and throughput
  • Partner with Dev Managers to identify development areas across the team. Create and facilitate meaningful training programs that will grow technical skills and instill the highest levels of code craftsmanship.
  • Remaining current with existing frameworks and developing your own, including documentation

In this crucial role, you will be relied upon as a technical leader within a high performing development team. You will lead by example as you solve tough technical challenges through designing efficient and elegant solutions, selecting the appropriate frameworks, and instilling patterns of software development excellence. You thrive as a code craftsman, have a desire to learn new technologies and have a drive to mentor others on your team.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Several years’ overall industry experience professionally developing complex, software products and solutions with high quality
  • Demonstrated success as the “go to engineer” for the toughest software challenges
  • The proven ability and the desire to solve tough problems through excellence in design, implementation and ensuring quality
  • Solid experience in delivering software in an Agile framework
  • Strong communication skills, a culture first focus, and infectious energy to make others around you better
  • Significant expertise in the .NET Framework (C#)
  • Exposure to Cloud Services
  • Experience with container services (Docker) and orchestrators (Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery
  • Experience with modern frameworks and workflows and developing your own
  • Exposure with SQL/NoSQL data stores and usage patterns
  • Solid understanding of REST and HTTP
